Short description of the project BOS 226:

The projects aims to raise preparedness level and ability to respond to natural catastrophes and rescue missions in general by building the capacities of the club (Sport Club Neretva), which will be equipped, capable, certified, regularly trained and always ready for action, in order to increase the possibility of an adequate response to flooding disasters.
The project will focus on supporting Sport Club Neretva that has already participated in 2014 floods rescue missions, saving 74 employees of Natron Maglaj paper factory, as well as rescue missions of general population in the area, including delivery and distribution of more than 3 tons of food and medicines in Maglaj area. Also, as a part of Federal Civil Protection (FCP) rescue missions; this Club was actively involved in search and rescue missions on several occasions on Krivaja, Vrbas and Neretva rivers.

Even though the direct benefit is to the population of Konjic Municipality, since the Club already signed a Memorandum of Understanding and is implementing rescue missions with Federal Civil Protection (search and rescue missions on several occasions on Krivaja, Vrbas and Neretva rivers), the benefit is to the general population of the country. The direct benefit is to the general population of the country by increasing the capabilities of the Federal Civil Protection and other state rescue agencies as the Club is at their disposal.
The Club will be the first unit in BH trained by internationally recognized Rescue 3 standards.

The main project goal is raising preparedness and awareness level and ability to respond to natural and other catastrophes, and rescue missions in general.

The specific objectives are:

– Upgrade of fast emergency response unit by providing, training and certification by Rescue 3 system and standard
– Creating conditions for more effective rescue response ability by providing adequate professional equipment
