Schedule of information sessions for the city of Stolac

The German non-governmental organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. has initiated the implementation of the project “Inclusion and Economic Empowerment in the Western Balkans 2023/2024” in the municipality of Berkovići since March 5, 2024. The project is funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe, with co-financing from the city of Stolac.

The project will last for 10 months and will support a total of 20 beneficiaries from the city of Stolac. Potential beneficiaries include all unemployed and/or employed individuals from socially vulnerable categories of the population with viable business ideas for starting or developing independent business activities. The project can support all activities resulting in appropriate monthly income, depending on the available financial resources and market potential of each individual proposal.

Preference will be given to ideas in the field of tourism and crafts. The idea should include an environmental protection component and be assessed as a “green” business by Help officials.

Approved assistance will be distributed exclusively in the form of material-technical resources necessary for the activity, without cash payments. The average amount of individual donation is determined at the equivalent of 2,500 EUR. Each beneficiary will be required to contribute 20% of the total donation amount, register their activity (at least as a small agricultural enterprise), and perform 10 hours of socially beneficial work for the local community.

Previously registered activities, up to five years old, will also be considered.
