Helping Hands – Presentation of Help BiH achievements and plans

The organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe BiH organized on Thursday, 14.12.2023. in the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an event: Helping Hands. The main goal of the event was the presentation of Help BiH’s work and achievements with an emphasis on economic, development goals and the green component. Almin Adžović, director of the Help BiH organization, welcomed all present and presented the achievements and plans of Help BiH for the next year. Bianca Kaltschmitt, managing director of Help, also addressed the attendees and greeted the event via video message and highlighted the focus of Help’s work in the upcoming period.

Representatives of local communities with whom Help BiH has long-standing cooperation took part in this event, greeting those present and emphasizing that they participated in the implementation of the Help projects and supported clients from their local communities.

In behalf of the local communities, fallowing representatives addressed the event:

Erhad Brkić – Advisor to the Mayor for the non-governmental sector of the City of Gračanica
Idriz Alihodžić – Assistant to the Mayor of the Service for Administration and Social Activities for veterans’ issues and general administration
Bojan Samardžić – Deputy Mayor of Berkovići Municipality
Snježana Radić- Independent professional associate for economic development of the City of Doboj

Helping Hands participants had the opportunity to watch a short movie about seven beneficiaries whom Help BiH supported in starting “green” businesses in their local communities. The participants of the film are: Kerim Grbić, Gordana Antolović, Rifat Osmanbegović, Josip Knežović, Sabrija Parić, Elma Pašić and Saudin Karabajić.

At the very end of the event, the participants spoke directly with some of the clients and treated themselves to a snack prepared by the hardworking hands of the women association “Most” from Jablanica. Local store “Špajz” also offered its products, where you can find products from domestic producers supported through Help BiH projects.

We would like to thank all those present at the Help BiH event and we hope for the further development of cooperation in the future in the field of economic, green and sustainable components.
