As part of the project SOE10-23/24 “Inclusion and Economic Empowerment in the Western Balkans,” implemented by Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V. BH with the support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe and the participation of the municipal authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 20 users from the area of the City of Zavidovići were supported in 2023. All users received the donated equipment at the beginning of October 2023.
The specificity of the delivery is related to the beekeeping sector. When we have combined needs that include the procurement of equipment and live bees, the equipment is delivered according to the project deadlines, while live bees can only be delivered according to the timelines prescribed by nature, to ensure that the user receives a healthy bee colony ready for the next winter.
This was also the case this time in Zavidovići. Our user received the equipment in October 2023, and the bee colonies have recently been given their new habitat. We believe that the symbiosis of these new bee colonies and the untouched nature of the Zavidovići area will contribute to the preservation and protection of the environment and provide our user with a new source of income.
